This tea is relatively unknown outside of China and we endeavor to bring it to the attention of our customers. This tea comes from the Wuyi mountains in Fujian province, China, where a small community, Xing Cun, hand-craft the leaves before firing them in unique ovens that allow for varying degrees of cured flavour. This grade has a high proportion of the best tips that can only be plucked once a year, hence its rarity and higher price. The flavour has a deep mellow profile, is highly nuanced and possesses a cured sweetness that hints at dried fruits like dates and longans.
